Isle of Wight gardens

Border outside the walled garden, Osborne House

Whilst I was away in the Isle of Wight, I visited the Ventnor Botanic garden and Osborne House. Although it is late in the season there was still plenty of inspiration to be found in the seed heads and flowers on show.

There were plenty of interesting seedheads on show at the botanical gardens. The agapanthus seedheads were particularly spectacular.

The flowerbeds of the walled garden at Osborne House were still looking abundant with colour and there was a beautiful display of coleus in the glasshouse.
